Austin Bliss, President and Co-Founder

Austin first conceived of the value of linking old and new email addresses over a decade ago, when he was trying to locate an old friend. He was the driving force behind the original design and development of FreshAddress’s patented Email Change of Address (ECOA) technology. Prior to FreshAddress, Austin also won national recognition for his innovative technical work with the UN and the Carnegie Foundation.
Austin is a former member of the Direct Marketing Association’s Committee for Environmental & Social Responsibility, former Chairperson of the List Growth & Engagement Committee for the Email Experience Council, a frequent content contributor to industry publications, and a highly-regarded presenter at national industry events and conferences.
The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation recently named Austin a “Rising Star,” an award bestowed on four individuals under 40 across the country who have demonstrated strong leadership skills, a track record of outstanding results, and a solid reputation for "giving back" through direct marketing education.
Austin is a graduate of Amherst College.

Bill Kaplan, CEO and Co-Founder

Bill is responsible for guiding the strategic development and growth of FreshAddress, Inc. Prior to FreshAddress, Bill founded Linden Properties, Inc., Recovery Strategies, Inc., and Strategic Investments LP, companies in the real estate, consulting and technology fields.
Linden Properties has acquired and developed over $100 million of commercial real estate for tenants including BankBoston, CVS, Bank of America, Houghton Mifflin, MIT, Partners Health Care, Royal Ahold (Stop & Shop), SuperValu, and Walgreens.
A recognized expert on the subject of email database hygiene and deliverability issues, Bill is a frequent content contributor to numerous publications and a recognized speaker at sponsored industry events.
Bill was also the founder and leader of the MIT Blackjack Team, whose exploits gained notoriety in the national bestseller, "Bringing Down the House." The movie version of the book, "21," was released March 28, 2008, starring Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, and Laurence Fishburne.
Bill graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics from Harvard College where he received the outstanding scholar-athlete award. He also earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. Bill is also a former world-ranked professional squash player.
Austin Jordan, Chief Systems Engineer
Austin is the technical lead for data transmission and processing. Austin oversees technology development, data transmission, and list processing at FreshAddress. He has been in charge of list processing at FreshAddress for over seven years during which time his team has successfully managed over 1,000 projects. Austin is conversant in many programming languages, and has also developed many of the QC systems that are in place at every step of our data processing.
Austin holds a BA in Computer Science from Wheaton College.
Nicole Edwards, Director of Client Services
Nicole manages all aspects of servicing and processing our clients’ projects, which comprise anywhere from 25-75 engagements at any given time with file sizes ranging from 50,000 to 400 million records. From file submission to creative development to results analysis and integration, Nicole serves as the interface between our clients and our List Processing Team. Having worked with hundreds of FreshAddress clients, Nicole’s primary objective is to keep everything running smoothly while ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met, but exceeded. Her experience and expertise in helping clients re-engage with former customers and donors is unparalleled.
Prior to joining FreshAddress, Nicole worked in broadcast traffic, managing spot distribution for TV and radio for hundreds of affiliates nationwide. Nicole holds a BA in Communications from Framingham State University and a Graduate Certification in Public Relations from Emerson College.

Franciosi, Sales
Manager

is responsible for managing, mentoring, and supporting the sales team as they
work with their clients to help drive revenues, donations, and engagement.
Her
past sales experience includes serving as Western Region Sales Manager for
Lycos, Sales Manager at WearGuard Corporation, and Northeast Area Sales Manager
for Corporate Software. Prior to joining FreshAddress, while her children were
young, Judy had a second career as a junior high school math teacher, a
testament to her leadership skills and patience! Judy graduated from Bentley University
with a BS in Marketing and earned a Masters in Education from Leslie University.
Eve
Bould, Marketing
& Communications Manager

Eve
is responsible for marketing and public relations for FreshAddress. Working
closely with the Sales Team and Product Management, Eve manages the
FreshAddress brand and corporate communications through a variety of platforms
including earned media, tradeshows and conferences, online advertising, the
company web site, webinars, and newsletters.
Prior to joining FreshAddress, Eve
worked for Patagonia as Marketing Director,
overseeing cross-channel marketing. Previously she worked for Bain &
Company as an Associate Consultant and for Staples as Senior Strategic
Marketing Analyst. Eve graduated magna cum laude from Duke
University with a BA in Economics and
earned an MBA from Harvard

Nick Hristov, Product Manager

Nick is responsible for new product development and further enhancements to our real-time and automated batch services, which he has been instrumental in developing to date. His ongoing focus is to leverage technology, in conjunction with his data security expertise, to both broaden and deepen FreshAddress's product offerings. Improving our clients' results through a seamless experience is what drives Nick every day.
Nick holds a BS in Computer Science from the Technical University of Varna in Bulgaria and has an MS in Information Technology from Clark University.

Mark Rafferty, Manager of Account Services
Mark has over twenty years of successful client service experience as well as extensive exposure to the email and list rental industry through his past work experience at magazine publishers Conquest Business Media and Quinlan Publishing, and Internet conglomerate Divine, Inc.
As Director of Client Services at Divine, Mark oversaw the operations of a team of project managers, technology consultants, and implementation specialists and directed the implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise software systems for high-profile clients.
Mark earned his BA and MBA from University of Massachusetts-Lowell.

With 5+ years of experience as a Senior Account Executive at FreshAddress, Rita is widely recognized for her expertise in the email database services industry. In addition to servicing Fortune 1,000 clients, Rita is also responsible for managing the Nonprofit Group at FreshAddress. An active member of the DMA Nonprofit Federation (DMANF), Rita has held a seat on the Membership Committee, contributed to the DMANF Journal, and participated in DMANF conferences as a panelist and facilitator. Rita has authored various industry white papers and is a frequent participant in industry events including national Nonprofit Technology Network events.
With a strong network of partners and clients in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Rita’s client base ranges from major nonprofit organizations to multi-national corporations.

A veteran of the U. S. Army, Jeremy brings over a decade’s worth of experience and leadership helping clients and partners find solutions that drive new business opportunities and increase revenue. His past experience in email and online marketing with DirectoryM as well as sales experience with software companies including Circadian Info Systems and Valora Technologies enable him to leverage his knowledgebase in working with our Fortune 1000 clients as well as small-to-medium businesses.
As Manager of the Email Hygiene Group at FreshAddress, Jeremy counsels clients on a variety of email marketing needs with a focus on helping them achieve the highest deliverability and response rates possible. Jeremy is also a contributing writer for FreshAddress’s monthly email newsletter, FreshPerspectives.
