Email from Us

For your protection, our free consumer website sends a confirmation email to every address you state to be your own. In addition, we may periodically send an email to other addresses listed in your account to confirm that they are still working. In each email message, an easy option is provided to cancel your registration.

If you are on our business services website, the email address you provide us will be sent information on our services and FreshAddress-specific corporate news. Of course, at any time you may opt-out by following the instructions in the message.

Your Information

On our free consumer website, only your current preferred email address (your "FreshAddress") is required during registration. It is then available only to someone who already knows one of your other email addresses or your name, assuming you've given us this information. An "extreme protection" option is offered for our members with even more stringent privacy needs.

All other email addresses you register with us are held confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone without your instruction. Your name and location, if provided, will be included in search results to eliminate potential confusion between reused email addresses.

On our business services website, contact forms may request your name, contact details, and other information that will best enable us to understand your needs. The information you provide us will be used by our sales and marketing team to respond to your inquiry and stay in touch in the future.

Both on and off line, we go to great lengths to protect your personal information. We employ advanced technical means to detect and deter unauthorized use of our site, and we will prosecute violators to the full extent of the law. In the office, all of our employees and partners have signed agreements pledging to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality, and both physical (e.g. locks, paper shredders, etc.) and electronic (e.g. passwords, firewalls, etc.) tools are routinely utilized to provide you a high level of privacy protection.

Your Friends

If you choose to list your friends, we may send a message to them to verify that their email addresses work. Your friends will not be solicited or contacted further, except for the sole purpose of finding your working email address in the event your FreshAddress bounces and we have no other effective method of contacting you.

Tell-A-Friend

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. FreshAddress.com stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.

Your friend may contact us at the address listed above to request that we remove this information from our database.

Cookies & Clear Gifs

You may use FreshAddress.com without accepting any cookies. We may utilize cookies, clear gifs, or other graphical images to create a link to the information you provided us during your registration process and make it easier for you to log in next time you visit. Some of our business partners (e.g. advertisers) may also use cookies on our site. FreshAddress.com has no access to or control over these cookies.

Partners and Information Sharing

FreshAddress.com works with a number of carefully screened companies that maintain certified opt-in mailing lists, comprised of members who have personally subscribed. When you indicate to us an updated email address, our service will allow you to continue to receive your existing email subscriptions without any effort on your part. We require each of these companies to provide an easy method to cancel your subscription in each mailing. You will not be sent additional unsolicited email or added to new mailing lists, and we urge you to contact us should you encounter any problems with our service.

FreshAddress.com may utilize a third party to provide certain services (e.g. Internet access, message delivery, etc.), or FreshAddress.com may sell, transfer or merge particular services, businesses and/or other assets to a third party. When necessary, personal information you have provided to FreshAddress.com may be shared as part of such a transaction.
